In the framework of cooperation between Emory University School of Medicine and the American MD Program of TSMU, faculty members participated in the meeting planned with the partners from Emory University.

During some days USMD faculty had meeting with Mary Jo Lechowicz, Vice-Chair for Education, Professor of the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology of ESOM and Gordon Churchward, Assistant Dean of ESOM, Professor of Microbiology and Immunology. The aim of the faculty meeting was to discuss the curriculum of the course -Becoming a Doctor (BAD). As this course makes US MD Program special, collaboration in this regard with American colleagues is very important. Becoming a Doctor course is being developed with the help and direct participation of partners from ESOM.

`Becoming a Doctor' (BAD) Course, implemented in the American MD Program of Tbilisi State Medical University, starts in the first semester, and follows the curriculum throughout 6 years as a parallel and integrated course alongside the core medical subjects.
