American MD program (US MD program) and its curriculum is based and operates as a partnership of Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) and Emory University School of Medicine (ESOM).The program was accredited by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of Georgia (2012).
The program provides modern western style medical education modelled after curriculum of Emory University School of Medicine.

For this purpose, for the first time, in the area of medical education, there are subjects taught, such as: history of civilizations, history of art, world literature, philosophy, etc. All these disciplines are integrated into the so-called "time axis" in mind;
- "Becoming a doctor,"- new discipline provides general development of clinical and critical clinical thinking skills from the very beginning of the program.
