On July 5, at 4 p.m (16:00) Tamara Vashakmadze, Facility Medical Director of Inpatient Medicine Program at West Florida Hospital will lead the public lecture on the topic: “Sepsis Diagnostics and Treatment: Modern Approaches”. The lecture will be conducted at Tbilisi State Medical University, Administrative Building, (33 Vazha-Pshavela Ave.) Floor 1, Committee Room.

Dr. Vashakmadze is a graduate of Tbilisi State Medical University in Tbilisi, Georgia, class 1994. She completed her Medical Residency and Hospital Medicine Fellowship programs in Columbus, Ohio , USA in 2010. Post graduation she worked as a Hospitalist Physician and subsequently became a Hospitalist Program Medical Director at Atrium Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Washakmadze also hold a degree in Healthcare Management from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
Since 2016, she leads the Hospitalist Medicine Department at West Florida Hospital, in Pensacola, Florida, USA.
Dr. Vashakmadze has also devoted a considerable part of her life to humanitarian work. She holds a master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Columbia University in NYC, NY. She worked for various humanitarian agencies in a field of international relief and development.
US MD Students will have a great opportunity to meet her within the round table format on "State of the Hospital Medicine in USA". She will share her American experiences in the field of Hospital Medicine and you will have possibility to ask the questions regarding the issue.
